Deacon Board

The work of a deacon is integral to the life and health of the church. Through their dedicated service, deacons embody the love and care of Christ, attending to both the spiritual and practical needs of the congregation and supporting the Pastor in his ministry.  According to the Holy Scriptures, the role of a deacon is vital to the functioning and spiritual health of the church. Deacons are men of good repute, full of the Spirit and wisdom, chosen to serve and minister to the needs of the church community. The foundation of the diaconate can be traced to Acts 6:1-6, where the apostles appointed seven men to ensure that the daily distribution to widows was fair, allowing the apostles to devote themselves to prayer and the ministry of the word.
